Hi! I am an author, marketer, business consultant, and data miner - not necessarily in his order, although I currently spend most of my time on writing and publishing novels (under the pen name I. C. Cosmos).

Before establishing my online business, I advised multinationals such as AT&T, KPMG, Twynstra Gudde, and Heineken. My assignments ranged from purely data driven to psychology driven. For instance, crunching financial data, assessing marketing strategies, user-friendliness, and building resilient teams.

Combining psychology and data analysis finally led to my appointment as a director of EFP, a Dutch knowledge center for forensic psychiatry. This job, a 9 to 9 grind, was a tremendous challenge that gave me lots of headaches and sleepless nights, and also quite a few precious moments when we achieved what no one thought we could achieve ☺️. The best part was working with my team and crunching data to prevent crimes.

From the marketing point of view, analyzing forensic data is quite interesting because the techniques that are used to predict who will commit crimes are not much different than targeting people who will buy your products! Just think demographics, psychographics, and serial buyers…

Which brings us to my online activities. Besides self-publishing, I focus mainly on targeting audiences and testing ad campaigns, although I learned a thing or two about the more creative aspects of the marketing business as well.

My other interests include writing about and developing one's unique skills and strengths, and I published five bestselling thrillers, The Wall, The Deal, The Code, The Enabler, and The Project, all written under the pen name I. C. Cosmos.
